Common European Framework of Reference in Literacy

Joanne is executive director and co-founder of the DEAF CULTURE CENTRE, Distillery District, under the auspices of the Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf (CCSD). She is responsible for the operations of the Centre promoting Deaf arts and heritage. A renowned Deaf leader and author, she gives presentations about Deaf Culture and American Sign Language(ASL) and provides consultations. Joanne received the Founders Order of Honour, highest award ever presented by the CCSD. She is not afraid of new challenges and is one who takes initiative and sees things through to completion.
